The Speech of Independence
"We have seen that the law was not the same for a white and for a black, accommodating for the first, cruel and inhuman for the other."
Patrice Lumumba was the first legally d Prime Minister in the DRC. After they got their independence he gave his Independence Day speech to the people of the DRC. On June 30 of 1960 he gave the very first Independence Day speech. The message of the speech was that no matter what other people say the black man can do any thing that the white man can.
